Anne played to the largest crowd as she appears to be getting a following. Tonight was an even better refinement of her style with Freestyle dance music couples can dance to. She opened the night with a wonderfully smooth set of stretching/awakening music followed by a mixed middle set which brought everyone out to the floor moving to their own interpretations. Once again this unique SF Barefoot Boogie group is building its own styles incorporating different variations of "non-contact" contact improv.
Of the San Francisco Contact Improv festival did just end, and the biggest Dance Jam/Freestyle event, i.e. NCDC Dance Camp also just ended, so the room was full of dancers with new fresh routines they’ve picked up and want to try out with the “Barefoot Boogie Usual Suspects”.
On the loudness rating: a two or a 3 – no ear plugs needed and very few if any people wore them
On the Dance Community rating: this is getting to be a unique group. Most everyone here for this night also dances at least one other studio per week. A real melting pot of styles and you get to dance in a friendly space with skilled people. A worthwhile fun Sunday night. 7:30 to 11 PM
